Britain offers fantastic opportunities for hill and mountain walking. Sunrisetreks provides guided walking in Scotland, Wales and the Lake District. You can choose from single day outings to multi day walking adventures.
We can also take you wild camping, staying high up in the mountains in some beatiful and remote places you may not otherwise be able to experience (own tent required).
North Wales
A classic day out on Snowdon, by one of its many routes. For impressive rock scenery, Tryfan and the Glyders are hard to beat. The Carneddau gives you a chance to visit quieter areas of the National park, which is almost as high as Snowdon itself. To really get away from the crowds though, the Rhinnogs is something of a best kept secret.
Lake District
The Lake District offers a great range of days out, there are all the old favourites of Scafell and Scafell Pike, Skiddaw, Bencathra and Helvellyn. We can find you some quieter routes if you want to get away from the crowds, Kentmere, Buttermere and Grizedale to name a few.
Scotland offers truly magnificent mountain scenery, look out from a peak in the north west and there are mountains as far as the eye can see. (ok on a clear day). Scottish mountains are not for the faint hearted, but for those who are willing, the rewards are unparalleled in the UK. Glencoe, Glen Shiel, Torridon, Ben Nevis and the Mamores, are superb locations in the west, or try the mighty Caingorms in the East.
Price
The standard fee for a full mountain day is £40 per person. Discounts apply for groups of 3 or more. Other discounts may also apply for multi day trips, which will depend on the area chosen and costs. Transport is not normally provided by Sunrisetreks.
