Morocco’s Atlas Mountains are a great choice for a trekking destination, with rugged mountain trails, varied and picturesque scenery, high passes and peaks. The High Atlas, is interwoven by a network of trails, which have been used for centuries to link the villages of the Berber people.
The route to Mount Toubkal is rugged but straightforward, leading to the highest point in North Africa at 4167m, offering views stretching across the Atlas peaks and southwards to Jebel Sahro and the Sahara. The Mount Toubkal Trek is fully guided. The price includes all in country transport. Hotel accomodation is in the Medina close to the main square and the Souks, gite accomodation and mountain refuge for the trek. All food in Marrakech and on trek. All the neccesary ingredients to make this a fantastic trip are already included in the price. Further costs are drinks, personal items, gifts etc. Instead of the itinerary below there is an option to complete a trek staying in tents and supported by mules, so there is no need to carry more than a daysack. The trek can also be extended by 2 days to give a longer mountain trek, for just an extra £40.

2. Travel to Imlil 1740m, then short walk up to Aremd 1960m
3. Acclimatisation Walk
4. Acclimatisation Walk
5. Trek up to the Neltner Refuge (ascent from Aremd 1250m - 5 hours)
6. Ascent of Toubkal (round trip from hut 960m - 5 hours + return to Aremd)
7. Return to Marrakech am and hotel. Free time in the Medina and Souks.
8. Morning in Marrakech.
